Morning Skincare Routine

Good morning upper east siders! Today we are talking about my morning skincare routine and how it takes actually only 5 minutes to complete. I typically love to treat myself with a luxurious skincare regimen like any other girl, but in the AM, I only need 4 simple things: ice, Vitamin C, moisturizer and SPF. Then I am out the door. I am going to link the exact products I use along with some other ones I have researched to be great quality.

Step 1: Cleanser

I rarely wash my face with a cleanser in the morning, I know... tea. But I found that washing SO much was actually stripping my skin of it's natural oils that it needs to have a healthy barrier. If I use a retinal or benzoyl peroxide the night before then I will use my favorite Ultra Gentle Cleanser from Face Reality in the morning. I have a few others that I love below as well.

Step 2: Ice Ice Baby

I usually just take an ice cube from the tray and massage my face with it and concentrate it on any breakouts. But I have recently been loving my ice roller and trying out different ice molds!

Step 3: Vitamin C

I never used Vitamin C until this year and I was MISSING OUT! This is the one I currently use from my esthetician. Why is Vitamin C so good for your skin? On top of it's brightening qualities, Vitamin C can help increase the efficacy of your SPF protecting you from both UVA and UVB rays. It also helps with hyperpigmentation and fine lines. Since using it, I swear it has helped my left over acne marks and has made my skin tone look more even!

Step 3: Moisturizer

In the mornings I like to have a lighter, gel-based moisturizer. My absolute favorite is the Hydrabalance Gel from Face Reality Skincare. Here are some more acne safe options!

Step 4: SPF

Last but not least, I apply SPF every day ladies and gents. But not just any SPF. I make sure that it is a mineral SPF formulated with Zinc and no unnecessary pore-clogging ingredients. Linking some of my favorites below!
